Location: Alvaston, Derby
Project: Kitchen, living room, hall, landing and stairs
Kitchen: ceiling and walls are white diamond eggshell, woodwork is white undercoat and a white satin finish, and feature wall is sage green. Paint is from Little Green.
Hall, landing, stairs: ceiling and walls had a white diamond eggshell. Woodwork had a white undercoat and a white satin finish. Feature wall had Natural Slate diamond eggshell and cabinet had Natural Slate in a satin finish.
Living room: ceiling and walls in white vinyl matt emulsion. All woodwork had white undercoat and a white satin finish. Chimney breast and fireplace was stripped and re lined with 1000 grade lining paper.

Living Room: The chimney breast and alcoves were stripped and cross lined with 800 grade lining paper. The chimney breast was emulsioned with Farrow and Ball Crunch matt emulsion and the alcoves papered in the customers choice.
Bedroom: Wall was stripped and cross lined with 800 grade lining paper. Then wall was wallpapered in a paper of the customers choice.
Conservatory: MDF boards covered in crayons and felt tips as well as all the sills. The walls also in places had crayon and felt tip marks. Applied a 123 bin shellac oil base to prevent, stop and seal the crayon and felt tip from coming through. The MDF, sills and skirting boards had oil based undercoat and a satin finish. The walls had a magnolia vinyl matt emulsion from Dulux.

Project: Care home communal residential lounge

The ceiling is white vinyl matt emulsion, three walls are Magnolia vinyl matt emulsion and there is a feature wall of a colour vinyl matt emulsion, the woodwork is white undercoat and a white satin finish. All paints are from Dulux.

Project: Warehouse Factory Office
After photos of office in Derby. Door that was brown both sides had a Zinsser bin shellac base that stopped anything coming through, then had a mid grey undercoat and a mid grey eggshell. The internal back wall of the office was masonry and had white masonry paint water based. All the panelling internal and external had Swansdown durable matt emulsion by Dulux.

Project: Living Room, Hallway, Landing & Stairs
Living room ceiling and 2½ walls Frosted Steel durable flat matt emulsion, rest of the walls Sapphire Salute durable flat matt emulsion, woodwork is white oil based undercoat and white oil based satin finish.
Hall, stairs and landing ceiling is apple white vinyl matt emulsion, walls are Emerald Glade durable flat matt emulsion and the woodwork is white oil based undercoat and white oil based satin finish.

Project: Kitchen and furniture redecorating

The kitchen ceiling was white eggshell, the walls was Vanilla Sundae diamond eggshell and the cabinet doors had 2 coats of 123 Zinsser Bin and this stop the existing colour coming through and then they had Wild Primrose undercoat and Wild Primrose satin finish. Woodwork was white undercoat and white satin finish.
Hand painted kitchen furniture, brought home away from the job to a dust free environment to ensure that the project finish looked amazing. So delighted with finish.

Ceiling had white vinyl matt emulsion, 3 walls had Natural Hessian vinyl matt emulsion and a feature wall had (Armstead RAL 4007 LRV 6) burgundy colour by Dulux. All woodwork had a white undercoat and a white satin finish.

Project: Residential Hall, Landing and Stairs

Ceiling is white flat durable matt from Dulux. Tongue and groove boarding on the walls and the picture rail had a white undercoat and a White Cotton satin finish. Feature wall had a coloured emulsion from the Range. The woodwork had a white undercoat and a white satin finish oil based.

Ceiling and main walls are Greenstone-light by Little Green and it’s an intelligent matt. The alcove walls are Puck by Little Green and it’s an intelligent matt. The woodwork is a white undercoat and white satin finish oil based. The door is oak and that had a Cosmo oil in a satin finish.

All ceilings had white vinyl matt emulsion, 3 walls in the living room and all walls in the hall, stairs and landing had Jasmine White vinyl matt emulsion. The living room had a feature wall which was cross lined with 800 grade lining paper and then wallpapered. All woodwork had white undercoat and a white satin finish.
I needed to find a reliable, personable and fast working painter and decorator in the Derbyshire area to re-decorate a families home, who were to be feature on the Dunelm Christmas 2019 advert. I found Paul at New Look Decorators by searching Google. From reading his glowing Google reviews I sensed he might be the man for the job. I wasn’t disappointed.
Paul’s communication was brilliant, always available to answer any queries I had. As is always the case in the advertising world the turn around is very fast, which Paul wasn’t phased by. Paul and his team managed to redecorate three rooms in very little time and to a very high standard.
